Discover Christmas recipes from around the world,
and learn of the traditions behind each as we cook.

Many of these recipes have been passed on to me by very dear friends, and they’ve kindly written of their family traditions so that I can share them with you.  Some of the recipes may be familiar to you, while there are some that may surprise as well.  There’s even a recipe that’s cooked the day after Christmas, using leftover roast meat and veg!

On the day you will work together to prepare a variety of festive dishes which will be shared as we sit, relax, eat, chat and share thoughts on what we’ve just cooked and maybe what we’re planning to cook this Christmas.

Malaysia, Bali, Singapore and Thailand, I must admit that I absolutely love the flavours and aromas that waft around the kitchen when cooking up a feast of dishes from this region – fresh, fragrant, vibrant, and absolutely delicious!  The recipes that I share with you in this session are family favourites, dishes that I have been taught, or dishes that I had to replicate after trying something amazing during my travels through these amazing countries.

Discover the balance of sweet, sour, savoury, and how to tweak the ingredients, as I was taught, to get the perfect balance, and I cannot wait to share my Malaysian chicken Curry Recipe with you, too!  Working together with others who attend on the day, you will prepare a vibrant, delicious feast to share as we sit, relax, eat, chat and maybe share stories from our travels, to finish the session.

A culture where food is lovingly prepared, to be shared, using fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits, along with beans, grains, olive oil, fish, eggs, cheese and yogurt.

I was once called an honorary Greek, because you will often find a variety of Greek dishes appearing on our table!  So, many of the recipes we will make are really tried and true!  The tzatziki, I know, it has appeared in other sessions, but it absolutely must be included in this menu, and it is so good!  Oh, and the cake, this one took a little time to adapt to gluten free, but was a cake that was made during my catering days, and always a hit.

Working together with others who attend on the day, you will make prepare a vibrant, delicious feast to share as we sit, relax, eat and chat to finish the session.
