While many are intimidated by the process of pressure canning, you will be surprised by how easy it is. Pressure canning is the only method recommended as safe for low-acid foods such as vegetables, meats and fish by the CSIRO, USDA and many other organisations, and all the warnings, do’s and don’ts can be quite bewildering.

I’ve been canning for many years now, and now have jars of stock, soup, vegetables, meat, beans, ready to go meals and more on the shelf, not just saving on freezer space, but to put a quick meal on the table, or to pack for when on a self-catering adventure – just heat and eat, in most cases!   They also make fabulous gifts for family and friends.

In this session we will discuss the do’s and don’ts of pressure canning, in a calm, relaxed environment. You will also get to fill and process some jars, for you to take home, and learn how to incorporate this homemade gold into everyday life! . You will be amazed at how rewarding the process is, and also, how simple it is.

More Information:

I am not a trained chef, just taught and guided by my experiences, and driven by my love of cooking, sharing, and celebrating with food.
