This is the recipe that I made for the pork option for rissoles for lunch at Aussie’s 18th Birthday Weekend. I also made a beef version. While I thought I had made far too many, they were gone in a flash!

  1. 1 kg pork mince
  2. 2 onions, finely chopped
  3. 1 french shallot, finely chopped
  4. 1 egg
  5. 1 tbs fish sauce
  6. 2 tbs soy sauce
  7. 1 tbs chilli sauce
  8. ½ cup dry bread crumbs
  9. A handful of coriander leaves, finely chopped
  10. Zest of 1 lime
  11. 3 Kaffir lime leaves finely chopped

  1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Using clean hands, mix until well combined.
  3. Take approximately ½ cup of the mixture and roll into a ball, then flatten slightly.
  4. Heat the BBQ to medium heat.
  5. Cook rissoles for 3–4 minutes each side, until golden brown and cooked through.

  • Alternatively you could heat a little oil in frying pan and cook 3–4 minutes each side, until golden brown and cooked through
